The "galanz" mark of Galanz Group was registered as a domain by an individual in India, specifically www.galanz.in. As India is one of Galanz's main foreign markets, the above act was of great concern.
We accepted Galanz's commission to handle the Indian domain name dispute case and collaborated with an experienced international law firm to collect and organize the origins of the "Galanz" mark design for Galanz Group, the registration status of the mark in the world, the domain registration list of Galanz, product sales and promotional materials. In particular, we provided the use of the "Galanz" mark in India by Galanz Group, the information of Indian subsidiaries, and the honors received.
Through comparing the disputed domain with Galanz Group's prior marks and domains, and with the complete evidence chain submitted, the Indian Trademark Office and the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) finally made a decision, supporting our domain appeal request, affirming the popularity of Galanz brand, and transferring the disputed domain to Galanz.
The domain squatter did not appeal this decision, thus resolving the domain dispute case successfully. The controversial domain was finally transferred to Galanz, avoiding the risk of market confusion that could have arisen due to the domain.
